11/30/05 No, this is not a trip writeup - yet. Rather, it's a request for input. I'm starting to contemplate the two trips for next year. So far, tentatively it's Scandinavia in early June (I'll also need to drop by St. Petersburg for a few days) and perhaps Japan in August-September (hoping to learn at least a little Japanese between now and then). This of course may change but that's the plan at the moment. What I'm looking for is suggestions on itinerary. Things of interest to me - cool roads to drive, trackday opportunities, entertaining car/motorcycle rentals, unique nature and architecture (especially ancient towns/villages/castles/mountains/fjords, that kind of stuff). I prefer to stay away from the touristy stuff and crowds - there are exceptions to that but generally out-of-the-way, little known discoveries are best. So if you know of any - let me know.
